Contraception

It's 2010 for goodness sake!
Why are there not better forms of contraception yet?
Condoms seem so outdated, essentially you're just putting a bag over your bits.

I have a new contraception idea and i think we're at the stage technologically where it could be made.
It's a sort of permeable contact lense.

It's hard to explain but it sounds brilliant in my head.

If any scientist people with cash want to develop it, get in touch.

Hob Nobs

Hob Nobs are nice and should be eaten more often.

They're also good to dip in your tea.

Berlin Wall

Ha! Almost another year has passed without comment. I am rubbish.

My thoughts of today are on the Berlin Wall.

It's 20 years today since the fall of the Berlin wall and although I don't remember the event itself particularly well (I was six at the time and probably more interested in walls made of Lego) I have been interested in learning about the wall in recent years (since I visited Berlin I guess).

During my visit to Berlin in 2006 I was struck by how noticeable the scars of the wall still were, the majority of the wall is now gone but you can really tell where it was. Looking back, the wall was a completely ridiculous thing to have happened, but today is about the fall of it, a city reunified and the scenes of jubilation from 20 years ago.

Blogs

I like blogs.
Yet I've never kept or wanted to keep a diary, are they essentially the same thing? It seems to me that blogging is more universally acceptable than keeping a diary. A diary is something that little girls and busy city folk use to write about ponies, boys, brunch and the Anderson file (assign them to the little girls and busy city folk as you see fit)

I tend to limit my blogging to important information or geeky music lists on myspace, this leaves out all the random little thoughts that pop into my head which are rarely aired especially now considering the amount of time i spend on my own.
As you can probably guess by the title, this blog was created for such thoughts but I've not touched it for nearly 3 years now for any number of possible reasons (lack of thoughts?) but it's most likely because i always feel very restricted by things like this and it's entirely my fault because i make them restrictive, in this case i made this blog have a very definitive format... Subject, Rant/Adoration, The End

Really if i want to wipe the slate clean and aim at achieving the kind of blog that i want to have i should create a new one and leave this one to rot, but I'm a lazy man when it comes to these things and besides, there's no guarantee i won't just abandon a new one just like i did this one.
So for the time being i will return to this blog and just post whatever the hell i want on here and see how it goes, all the while remembering that this is all Anya's fault for having a great blog and making me jealous.

Dictionaries

I love dictionaries, if ever there's any word in the entire English language (or other if you prefer) that you don't understand you can just look it up and then you know what it means AND how to spell it!!! I always look up words I don't understand or can't spell (although I am an excellent speller usually) and I think everyone should own a dictionary, in fact bollocks to the sodding Bible, every hotel room should have a dictionary in it. Kevin Spacey's character in 'Pay it Forward' always told the kids to look up words they didn't understand, they don't do that in schools do they? Well they should!
Now if I've made any spelling errors in this you can all laugh at me, nobody's perfect.
Also Kevin Spacey is great too.

Socks

I don't think it's actually possible to own enough socks, i think about half of my socks have holes in and are useless. People complain when they get socks for christmas but you always need them, i wish i'd got socks for christmas :(

Butterflies

I just want to go on record to say that i think the whole caterpillars turning into butterflies process is amazing, they're two different creatures....but they're not!! Wow!
I saw the very hungry caterpillar early this morning on telly, that's what prompted this little outburst of caterpillar appreciation.
